Teach Us The Secret Of An Open Heart

O God, who in divine wisdom gave us freedom to lock or unlock our heart's door; teach us the secret of an open heart.  Let our waiting for your knock become a reverent desire to please you as loving children.  When words fail us and our thoughts are barren, teach us to be still and know that you are the one and only God.  If our soul's image of you is uncertain, put your arms around us.  May we feel the strength of your majesty and the reassurance of redeeming love.  In Jesus name we pray.  Amen.
