Overcoming Adversity

All powerful and all-knowing God, hear your children as we pray for your Grace to help us persevere in the face of all our trials and suffering.  You know better than anyone, how painful and difficult this life can be sometimes.  Please help us to remain faithful at such times.  Give us a faith that cannot be shaken and an awareness of your loving presence always so we will not lose heart!  Let our hearts hear those words that sustained the Apostle Paul: "My grace if sufficient for you... My power is made perfect in weakness."  In Jesus Name we do pray.  Amen.
