Save Us From Faithlessness

O God, forever faithful to your covenant, we are weak but you are strong.  You have offered us your covenant which was given to us for our benefit to keep us on the right track in life and close to you in love.  Yet, in moments of doubt or despair, our trust in you wavers, and we lose sight of your purpose for our lives.  Then we look to the world for our salvation, and become lost altogether.  Forgive us, O Lord, for being like Peter on the Sea of Galilee, who looked away from his Lord, and sank because of his lack of faith.  Reach out to us now, in our time of doubt, and save us from faithlessness!  We pray in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.
