Comfort For The Storm Victims

O God of all knowledge and might, we come to you in prayer today with our hearts weighed down with sorrow over the horrible tragedy that fell upon the storm victims yesterday morning.  We are overwhelmed with the enormity of destruction which such tornadoes can cause.  Hundreds of people have lost all that they had - reach out a hand of help to them, O Lord - even if that hand be ours!  May those who were injured find your healing power at work through the medical teams working for their health.  May those who lost loved ones not be clouded by questions of "why?!" but find in your presence the hope for the future which they need, and the comfort in the face of death which only you can provide.  May they not question your love, but see beyond the pain of their loss, to the life which no longer has sorrow or death or tears anymore.  We pray it all in the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ, our Lord.  Amen.
